On Friday, I attended a media luncheon and drive day with General Motors at FedEx Field just outside of D.C.

The holidays may be over, but the winter weather is just getting started for most of the country.

Oh the joys of summer time. Long days, sunny skies, and 100-degree days like the one we’re having here in D.C. today. (Ick!) Shining up my car is definitely one activity that makes me nostalgic for summer (and a driveway to wash it in!). To me, nothing feels better than riding around in clean car.

Over the past few years, I have gotten to know Bill Prosperi through Twitter and his blog. He is known in the online automotive community for two things – his grumpy Smurf profile image (see it here) and his passion for all-things-Mazda.

It’s the second Friday of 2013. By now, many of us have already failed some of our New Year’s resolutions. That’s OK.

I will be perfectly honest with you; I am guilty of distracted driving. I like being accessible at all times, and I’ve texted while driving. For this reason I did not like using Cellcontrol. I hated it in fact, but I hated it for all the right reasons.

It seems that every year, just as the weather becomes warmer and “road trip season” nears, the news media begin predicting how much consumers can expect to pay for a gallon of gas come Memorial Day weekend.
