We ventured to sunny Arizona for a welcome reprieve from the harsh East Coast winter to drive Ford’s new-for-2015 mid-size utility vehicle.

In the past year, there have been three very exciting developments in the realm of car connectivity. The first two are as deeply entwined as only intense competition in a billion-dollar market can manage.

I’ve been on a few wide-ranging trips with the German-based automotive supplier Continental, covering everything from vehicle-to-vehicle communication to collision avoidance systems, in locales from Detroit, Michigan, to Regensburg, Germany.

Even before Henry Ford officially incorporated Ford Motor Company in 1903, he had a vision that automobiles could be accessible to everyone. His consumerist philosophy also applied to his business practices.

The new 2015 Ford Mustang, which has not been released yet, is already getting customized. Steve Saleen, who founded Saleen Automotive and is known for customizing and modifying Mustangs, is going right ahead.

In December, Ford unveiled a redesigned version for the 2015, 6^th generation Mustang. Coming next fall; the new Mustang will mark its 50^th Anniversary. For the last 50 years, the Mustang serves as a symbol of Ford.
