Saleen Customizes The Look of the 2015 Ford Mustang
The new 2015 Ford Mustang, which has not been released yet, is already getting customized. Steve Saleen, who founded Saleen Automotive and is known for customizing and modifying Mustangs, is going right ahead. Last week, the first 2015 Saleen S302 Mustang was released on Saleen’s official Twitter account.
Saleen
The guys over at Saleen have been recognized for their super-tuning of Ford Mustang in the past. With no information released about what will be packed inside the Saleen S302 Mustang, you can be sure that it will come with some performance features that will keep Mustang near the top of the turner market. Expect a V-8 engine to pack about 480-500 HP, with the chance of a supercharged option that packs more of a punch.
The New Picture
The image, which was released last week, shows the car’s front end design. This image shows the Mustangs new front air dam, Saleen’s signature grille, and a very wide air scoop. In a statement released by Saleen, they claim that “this latest Saleen model is perfectly positioned to be the next American exotic, campaigning on the world stage.”
All in the Grille
The concern among GM and Ford fans rests upon the grille design of the S302. Some believe that too much inspiration of the new design was borrowed from the current Camaro. Like the Camaro, the S302’s front-end has a grille that runs from headlight to headlight. The blacked out grille also creates a very similar look between the two cars.
The Need for More Images
As the release of the S302 gets closer, it’s likely that more images will be released. More images of the front-end from different angles, as well as shots of the sides and the back, should prove to Mustang fans that their beloved pony car does not look that much like a Camaro as they might have initially thought.
2015 Mustang
The original 2015 Mustang was announced in December of 2013 and is expected to be released this fall. Right now it hasn’t been anywhere except major car shows. Ford released 500 pre-orders in Europe this spring and they all sold out within 30 seconds. Needless to say, there are a lot of people extremely excited about the new Mustang.
