The Acura TSX 2011 Receives A New Look

The new 2011 model of the Acura TSX receives a brand new and subtle alteration to it’s appearance. This new model will receive some new mechanical upgrades in addition to the upgraded exterior appearance, while a Sports Wagon variation is also destined to make its debut. Some of the new look features include the front fascia which has received a less aggressive, smaller and sportier looking top grille.  Acura has stated that the overall design is now much more ergonomic, with the reworked front fascia, the newly incorporated 17 inch wheels integrated with the 4 cylinder 2.4 liter engine version and redesigned tail lights. The interior of the new Acura TSX hasn’t been left out, it too has received some subtle alterations in the design and general appearance of the vehicle. The materials used throughout are, or at least seem, of a much higher quality. For example the seats now has visually beautifully stitching which contrasts with the color of the seating material, and there are a multitude of interior lights that have been replaced with more modern LED lighting instead. The interior also boasts a very well insulated cabin, with very little engine noise and general road noise being able to penetrate. This is mostly due to the much thicker and upgraded glass throughout, the windshield is incorporated with new acoustic glass technology while the underfloor of the vehicle is integrated with some sound reducing materials. The Future of the Acura TSX The new Acura TSX model has been incorporated with the choice of 2 brand new V6 engines, and an updated 5 speed automatic transmission with integrated fluid warmed to protect the shift quality, this enables improved fuel efficiency throughout. The fuel efficiency ratings for the new transmissions and engine combinations are as follows;

• Automatic transmission V6 3.5 liter engine receives 19 city mpg and 28 highway mpg
• Automatic transmission V6 2.4 liter engine receives 22 city mpg and 31 highway mpg
• 6 speed manual transmission V6 2.4 liter engine receives 21 city mpg and 29 highway mpg

Pricing of the new Acura TSX 2011 Model Pricing for the new Acura sedan model has been raised by $300 throughout. The base price of the V6 2.4 liter engine with manual transmission will cost $30,470, and the V6 3.5 liter engine with manual transmission will be priced slightly higher at $36,010. Acura has yet to set a price for the wagon model, although for sure, it’s very pleasing to know that there will be another quality wagon available on the market in the near future.
