How many times have you gone on a vacation only to find yourself uttering the words, “There’s no place like home?” Maybe you weren’t happy with the accommodations or the food. A trip could be especially challenging if you’re on a road trip with the family crammed into an SUV.

My friend Ryan is quite a character. When we were in school, he had three different backpacks for his classes. His reasoning was that he never felt like switching out his books all the time, so he just bought two more backpacks.

Cars are machines: They break down from time to time — even if you take the best care of them.

If you’re in a car a lot, you’ll end up with some pretty scary moments. I got to thinking though a few of mine, and there’s one that sticks out from the rest by a mile. I’ll get to it soon, but here are a few of the others in no particular order:

Everyone has bad driving habits. Ironically, a situation in which one should be most alert is often when many people choose to be the most distracted.

Naming cars has remained a phenomenon practically since they first populated the streets. People claim that naming their car is all part of the “relationship” you build with it over time.
