VW Scirocco Passes 100,000 Milestone

In today’s world of cars no segment offers the great variety that the hatchback segment offers. But only a few of these models can offer the qualities that VW Scirocco does in one package.

Apart form its amazing looks, different editions with different level of power and top-notch quality, Scirocco has one feature that makes it so desirable and that’s pedigree.

This fabulous sports compact coupe was first born in 1974, and until 1992 over 795,650 units of it have been sold. Now that its third generation is carrying the torch, the success is sure to continue as recently the 100,000th unit has rolled off the produciton line in VW plant in Portugal.

The celebrated model is a Scirocco R 2.0 TSI, in Rising Blue Metallic, with a Titan Black interior, radio navigation system, Park Pilot and a tilting sunroof. In southern Portugal, with 3,000 employees, Volkswagen produces the Volkswagen Eos, the new Sharan and, since 2008, the third generation of the Scirocco.
