Volkswagen (VW) Recalls 377,000 Cars

Volkswagen AG is rumored to be making the recall of more than 377,000 units of vehicles because it has found problems that could result in fire.
The recall will involves about 228 236 units of the Volkswagen Jetta and Jetta Sportwagen built among March 2006 and June 2009, then 38,700 units of the VW Golf which was built among March 2007 until November 2008 and 110,350 units of the New Beetle and New Beetle Convertible was built in June 2005 until October 2009.
This recall is more specific program will only occur in a car equipped with five-cylinder engine with a capacity for 2,500 cc.
These problems can occur because it was feared that the windshield washer reservoir tube damage that could result in fuel leakage.
Jetta and Golf have a reserve of water tube cleaning windshield of a small-sized plastic material which is located near the fuel supply line. While the New Beetle has a bunch of new hydraulic hose clamp on the power steering system that may be in a position that is not appropriate to cause friction fuel lines.
If friction occurs, there is potential for material to leak fuel, which in turn can cause a fire hazard. But until now there were no reports of injury, accidents or fires resulting from these conditions.
VW says that the owners of the effected vehicle recall program can brings them into the Volkswagen car dealership where it will be handled by the technicians who will replace the plastic tube from the reservoir of windshield cleaning fluid in the car Jetta, Jetta SportWagen, and Golf.
In addition, the technicians will also check and adjust the position of the clamp fastener to the correct position in the vehicle the New Beetle. All this work will be done at no additional cost to the owner or free.
