Toyota Camry Hybrid Starting Production and Sales in Taiwan

Toyota Motor Corporation announced it started producing and selling Hybrid Toyota in Taiwan. Production began on February 15, 2012.

Toyota Camry Hybrid is produced by the Kuanying Kuozui Motors Plant. Camry Hybrid Production in Taiwan makes it the seventh-hybrid Toyota models manufactured outside of Japan.

Initial production of 7000 units and is set to meet local needs. Ranging in price from 1,069,000 to 1,399,000 Taiwan dollars began today.

Meanwhile, on February 3, Toyota said it expects a 21 percent rise in worldwide sales to 9.58 million units for calendar year 2012, with anticipated double-digit growth in both domestic and overseas as it recovers from the disruption of supply chain after the earthquake and flood.

This decision was taken in order to increase the sales of Toyota hybrid cars and eco-friendly. Until 2011, sales of Toyota hybrid vehicles reached 3.6 million units.
