As promised Subaru unveiled its new crossover concept at the Auto Shanghai 2011, and while we were waiting for a more dramatic kind of car, it is in fact a virtually production ready car that looks suspiciously like a jacked up Legacy!

The new Subaru XV is a very well-engineered car and you expect it to do well in everything you can throw at it. So it does! It has just been awarded the maximum five-star safety rating in the latest round of Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) safety performance tests.

Subaru announced the production version of the XV concept crossover to make its world debut at the next Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. This sketch of the of the front-end of the car is a sort of teaser for the event. Subaru counts heavily on the XV to become a major winner for the brand.

Subaru XV will be sold in the market this year, including Australia and parts of Asia. starting debut in love while making production-form debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011.
