Next week, thousands of automakers, journalists, bloggers, and industry representatives will converge on New York City to witness the unveiling of the latest offerings for 2012 and 2013. Your trusty Best Cars Guide editor, Melanie Batenchuk, will also be on hand in the Big Apple to bring you the latest coverage. On Tuesday, April 3, we will attend the Automotive Forum put on by the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and IHS.  This one-day conference will focus on educating car manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers on how to remain competitive in today’s economic environment. According to the event website, Nissan’s leader Carlos Ghosn will also speak to the group to share “his insights on the automotive market from his experience as CEO of both Renault and Nissan—combined, they represent 1 out of every 10 cars on the road worldwide.” Wednesday, April 4, and Thursday, April 5 are the two jam-packed press preview days. Thanks to Motortrend.com, here’s a starting list of which all-new offerings we can expect to see from automakers (in the order of their scheduled press conferences via autoshowny.com):
  • Chevrolet – Traverse, Impala
  • Mercedes-Benz – SL65 AMG
