Mitsubishi Global Small Car
Along with the lineup for 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Mitsubishi announced the new Global Small Car and released the first shot of the upcoming economy model.
To be built in March 2012 in Thailand, this car is the first vehicle of MMC global platform which is based on three factors: “compact”, “affordability”, and “high fuel efficiency”.
The car gets a 1.0 or 1.2 liter compact engine equipped with idling stop mechanism and regenerative braking system, while other fuel saving features include lightweight aerodynamic body, new-generation CVT, brakes, and tires. They say it’ll do 90 g/km CO2-wise!
At 2011 Geneva show MMC will display a total of 12 vehicles (6 during press days), including vehicles already on sale in Europe, in addition to the 100% electric i-MiEV.
