Jaguar XKR 175 Edition
Those of you who have been at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, or at least followed it on the web or TV, know that Jaguar unveiled a special edition of the XKR Coupe during the fest to mark their 75th anniversary.
Now Americans will get the same treatment, at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August, as Jaguar is about to drop a special edition for them as well.
The British model was called the XKR 75, because it’s limited to 75 units, but the American version is limited to XKR 175, you guess what the car is called!
Each model of course comes with sill tread plates reading “XKR175 – n of 175? as the main feature, but they also get Piano black wood veneer and Charcoal leather interior. The exterior is also enhanced with a subtle aero package which gives the XKR a more muscular presence, 20-inch Kasuga 10-spoke alloy wheels, and red brake calipers.
This special editoin also benefits from a slight bump in power as well. The 5.0 liter supercharged V8 is tuned to deliver 530 hp which is 20 more than the standard, plus 483 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile the limited top speed is increased to 174 mph.
The car only comes in Ultimate Black color and costs $104,500 for the American and £85,500 for the British version.
