As you know Infinity is now also offered in the European market, but they have decided to approach this new market very cautiously by launching a diesel-powered FX model, which was their first diesel as well! That car received a warm welcome and paved the way for this one, the new EX crossover, which is also offered with a diesel engine. The EX30d gets the same 3.0 liter V6 engine which features piezo-injection system and develops 235 bhp and an enormous torque of 550 Nm. That is impressive, but the whole point of a diesel engine is fuel economy and we are glad to report that the EX won’t disappoint in that term as well. The car does 33.2 mpg with C02 emission of 224 g/km. This is very good, specially as the performance is not bad either. 0 to 60 mph is done in 7.9 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 137 mph. Pricing for the 2010 Infiniti EX30d diesel starts form £35,975, but even the base model is generously equipped with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) 7-speed automatic transmission, active torque distribution all-wheel drive, Xenon cornering headlights, front and rear parking sensors, 18-inch alloy wheels, Scratch Shield self-healing paint, electrically adjustable front seats, power-fold rear seats, cruise control and a 7-speaker audio system with 6-CD changer, MP3 decoder, Aux-In and Bluetooth for mobile connectivity.
