Toyota Concepts at Tokyo Auto Salon
Tokyo Auto Salon is more or less like the SEMA show in America, in which domestic tuners and a few from abroad gather to show off their latest creations.
Toyota had its performance arm Gazoo racing to come up with a couple of nice concepts for the show. They’ve prepared a racing iQ, and there’s also modded versions of the Auris and Prius hybrid on display.
The most interesting one of course is the GRMN (Gazoo Racing tuned by MN) iQ Racing Concep. Apart from the body kit and wheels, this racing iQ also features a supercharged engine and a roll-cage.
G Sports (G’s) have also contributed to the Toyota presentation with Sports Concept version of Prius, with TRD adding an Auris GT Concept. As well as the cars, Toyota is hosting interactive events at the show, including forums with engineers and racing drivers and virtual driving competitions in Metapolis, an on-line community created by Gazoo Racing.
