2012 Ford Mustang BOSS 302S race car is the latest addition to the family of new Mustang Boss, which includes the 302 road-going and 302R track car.

Developed to provide enthusiasts with an affordable way to road race, the 302S is based on the road car, but it’s specially lightened and tuned for extreme racing performance.

Mustang Boss 302S is powered by a tuned version of the new 5.0 liter 4-valve Ti-VCT V-8 engine and includes a 6-speed transmission which develops 440 hp to the rear wheels via via a T2 Torsen differential and 3.73 gears.

The racing gear you will find inside this awesome racer include RECARO HANS Pro-Racer lightweight race seat, 6-point safety belt, quick release steering wheel and AIM data acquisition system with GPS.

Mustang Boss 302S can be purchased via Ford Racing dealers for $79,000.
