MINI to Introduce New Models in 2010

Come 2010 and the Mini company will be introducing brand new variants of the Copper, which have upgraded engines, come in better colour options and have customized packages in them. The 1.4 litre engine will be replaced by the 1.6 litre engine, which will be available in different versions of various car models such as the First, One, Hatch, Convertible, Clubman, Copper and Copper S.

With a 75hp version of the 1.6 litre engine, the Mini First offers real fuel economy as well as decent performance on the road. It can average at 52.3mpg with a Co2 emission of 127g/kg, and has a top speed of up to109mph. On the other hand, the Mini One series is also economical and ecologically safe, just like the Mini First model, since it comes with a 98hp and 153nm of torque. It’s much faster than the First model by having a top speed of 116mph. In addition to this, the Clubman model is also fastest with 115mph, and an average of 51mpg.

Still in the same year, Mini will also have introduced an updated version of the Cabrio, which in the basic model has a 98hp 1.6 litre engine and a top speed of 112mph. However, the Copper S Cabrio comes fitted with an 184hp engine and 215nm of torque.

The same model is also available in the Copper S Hatchback model that accelerates from 0-60mph in just 7 seconds, with a top speed of 142mph.

The Mini Copper S Rainbow edition in the UK also has brilliant colour features and a 122hp engine with 163nm of torque, a top speed of 127mph and an average fuel consumption of 52mpg.
