Current Mk VI GTI models make 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque, but The Mark VII Volkswagen GTI is said to be rated at 217 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, a substantial improvement. The Mark VII Volkswagen GTI will reportedly hit dealer showrooms late this year, as a 2013 model.
