Looking at the 2011 Audi Q5

Audi’s new addition to the 2011 Audi Q5 lineup is a cheaper 4-cylinder model. The premium compact SUV can seat up to a total of 5 passengers and is equipped with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive.

Also new is the base 2.0T packing a turbocharged 211 hp 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine, similar to that of the Audi A4.

Meanwhile, the 3.2 sits at the top of the Q5 lineup, packing a 270 hp 3.2 liter V6 engine.

The model with the 4 cylinder comes with an 8 speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the model with the V6 engine uses a 6 speed automatic.

Flexibility of the all-wheel drive system is found in its ability to shift as much as 65% up front and 85% in the rear, as the driving conditions may require, as well as its split torque 40 and 60 in the front and rear, respectively.

A distinct feature is the Audi Multi-Media interface or MMI. It’s a system that makes use of an entire dashboard of controls to allow you to adjust navigation, suspension, audio, and other functions on the car. Available as an optional feature is the Audi Drive Select. This allows you to control and alter the settings for the engine, steering, transmission, and suspension.
