IIHS 2011 Top Safety Pick List
As we’re approaching 2011, IIHS decided to release a list of the cars they have already tested and awarded with Top Safety Pick Award.
This’ll make it easier for new car buyers, if safety is an important thing to them when considering a new car! Because it narrows the list in each category.
The 2011 list of IIHS Top Safety Pick consists of 66 vehicles, including 40 cars, 25 SUVs, and a minivan. All these cars have done good or above in in front, side, rollover, and rear crashes. They are all fitted with an array of mandatory safety features.
“In just a year, automakers have more than doubled the number of vehicles that meet the criteria for Top Safety Pick,” says Adrian Lund, the Institute’s president. “That gives consumers shopping for a safer new car or SUV — from economy to luxury models — plenty of choices to consider in most dealer showrooms. In fact, every major automaker has at least one winning model this year.”
