BMW 7- Series 2010
BMW have been impressively releasing powerful and luxury cars. The 2010 7-Series was upgraded to have new models, improved braking system, and a renamed sports package. Sophisticated overall structure and advance technological equipment are some of the attributes the 7-Series has to offer. The vehicle turns out to be a complete luxury sedan.
7- Series has three option packages that include the 750i, 750Li, and 760Li. The first model, 750i, is incorporated with features like alloy wheels 18 inches in rim, automatic active xenon headlights, adjustable adaptive suspension, parking sensors for the front and rear side, sunroof, rain- sensing wipers, auto dim heated mirrors, power folded mirrors, and a remote keyless system. Interior technology includes a four zone automatic climate control, front seats that can be adjusted 14 ways, memory function in the front seat, power tilt-telescopic steering wheel, headed front seats, interior wood accent, leather upholstery, Bluetooth connectivity, iDrive motor controller, voice recognition navigation system with traffic updates, and a complete surround sound system compromising of 10 speakers. The 750Li model consists of the standard equipment of the 750i plus a self-levelling air suspension and a longer wheelbase. AWD of the 750i xDrive involves the self-levelling air suspension and a descent control.
The previous Sports package is now renamed to M Sports package. It is equipped with the active roll stabilization only available for models in rear drive, tires 19 or 20 inches in rim, M- sport steering wheel, and highlighted black exterior trim. Another package offered is the Cold Weather. It compromises of the heated steering wheel, heated back seats, and a ski bag. The Luxury Seating package is also available which consist of the standard equipment of the Cold Weather package with additional rear sunshades, ventilated front seats, and adjustable driver’s seat. Power trunk lid and soft close doors are inclusive in the Convenience package while the blind spot alert system, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams is included in the Driver Assistance package. The sixth package offered is the Camera wherein a camera is built in the rear and side view of the vehicle. The seventh package is the Premium Sound inclusive of an iPod and USB port, DVD/CD changer, and an improved audio system with 16 speakers.
The best model, 760Li, has all the standard features with the elimination of the M Sports package. Additional features include the active four wheel steering, adjustable power rear seats, heated and ventilated seats, leather car dashboard, satellite radio, power operated trunk lid, and a head- up display. Other optional equipment obtainable is rear seats that can function as a massage, active cruise control, entertainment system in the back seat, infrared night vision, and interior wood accent.
The 750 models have a horsepower of 400 with a turbocharged 4.4 litre V8 engine. A six- speed automatic transmission that can be manually shifted is only offered for the engine. All xDrive models are in an all wheel drive mode. The model 760Li has a horsepower of 535 with a turbocharged 6 litre V12 engine.
The outstanding fact about the 7-Series model is the Driving Dynamics Control system. This is a control that enables the driver to set the car mode to Comfort, Normal, Sports, and Sports plus mode. It changes all aspects of the car that include the dynamic damping control, stability control, gearshift, and control maps.
The cabin of the 7- Series 2010 model is more improved than its previous models. Comfort is definitely guaranteed from car control to seats. The iDrive system is a great advantage to BMW’s 7- Series.
