General Motors ready to launch an electric version of the Chevrolet Spark. Currently the car is being tested in Detroit. On the official site of GM, this car will be sold in limited units in the U.S. and global markets from 2013. Chevrolet Spark electric version will accompany the line up electric cars like the Chevrolet Volt output and production of the Eco Malibu 2013. If according to plan, an electric version of the Chevrolet Spark will be available in the U.S. no later than in 2012 and following India’s first electric preparing to launch the Beat. This car will accompany the expansion of GM’s small car that was already filled by the Chevrolet Sonic in Indonesia sold as the Chevrolet Aveo. Electric version of the Chevrolet Spark is designed as an urban electric car. GM reportedly will be able to remove the target of 2,000 units of this electric Chevrolet Spark in America each year. In addition, the electric Chevrolet Spark is also arguably a response to the desires of GM’s U.S. government who want to cut vehicle emissions in 2025. In India, an electric version of the Chevrolet Spark called by the name Beat Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) are powered by lithium-ion battery with 300 cells with a total energy capacity of about 20 kWh. The batteries used car weighs 270 kg which is at least able to bring Beat roam as far as 130 miles under normal driving conditions. These batteries can also be said to continue to work in temperatures ranging from about minus 20 degrees to 45 degrees and a rechargeable energy in less than 8 hours using a 240V electric power. The emergence of the Chevrolet Beat Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is also to be another face of the Beat / Spark. Because GM has also been demonstrated earlier version of this car gas fuel.
