Ford Mondeo Gets 1.6 EcoBoost Engine

The latest addition to the UK range of Ford Mondeo is a good one.
It’s powered by the new 1.6-litre direct injection turbo petrol EcoBoost engine, which has more power than the 2,0 liter model and uses less fuel.
As for the power, it’s rated at 160 PS which is 20 more than the 2.0 liter. With a six-speed manual transmission is capable of 134mph, while returning 41.5mpg (combined) and emitting 158g CO2/km. That’s also 15 percent better than the older model.
February next year the Mondeo also gets the 1.6 TDCi diesel engine with start-stop technologies which has 115 PS and emits just 115g/km CO2 to return 65.6mpg (combined).
