Studio is actually the name of the latest trim level offered for the Ford Focus in the British market.
It replaces the popular Sport trim which is already sold out, and tries to provide the customers with better value. It is an entry-level model costing under 14 grand, yet it comes with loads of standard equipments. That’s always been the case with Ford Focus, awesome value for money.
Available as a five-door hatchback with 85PS 1.6-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine, the Focus Studio has a base price of just £13,995 on-the-road – available for “61-plate” customers. Just in comparison, a fully loaded Titanium model with a few extra bells and whistles runs for £24,000.
More details on Focus Studio equipments in the press release below:
Access to the all-new Ford Focus range becomes easier with the arrival of the all-new Focus Studio which goes on sale in September, as customers rush for new “61-plate” cars.
This latest addition extends the all-new Ford Focus range to five series, with prices from £13,995 for the Focus Studio to £24,000 the top-of-the-range Titanium X with six-speed Powershift automatic transmission and 163PS TDCi engine.
This newcomer replaces the popular Ford Focus Sport, a final special edition of the previous model which has been on sale since October 2010 and reached sales of 15,000.
Nigel Sharp, Ford of Britain managing director, said: “With the high end of the new Focus range fully established, we are now making it easier for customers to get behind the wheel at the entry level – and this new Studio model is not only affordable but it is also well equipped, attractive and economical too.”
Standard equipment on the all-new Focus Studio includes 16in sports-style alloy wheels, body-coloured rear spoiler, radio/CD player, USB connectivity, air-conditioning, electrically-operated body-coloured door mirrors with integrated turn indicators, electrically-operated front windows, Ford Easy Fuel ‘capless’ refuelling, and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with torque vectoring control.
The Studio will be offered as a five-door hatchback with 85PS 1.6 Ti-VCT powertrain, delivering a fuel efficient 47.9mpg. There will be three colour choices – Panther Black, Moondust Silver and Frozen White.
