Ford B-Max, New Mini MPV From Ford

Ford Europe has a mini MPV that is named the Ford B-Max. The concept of the Ford B-Max will be on display at the Geneva Auto Show, March 2011. This minivan began to be marketed in Europe by 2012 which will be produced at the factory Craiova, Romania, the end of 2011. Reportedly, Ford will also release another model in Europe with a larger form, namely the Ford C-Max (medium) and the Ford S-Max (big). Ford B-Max is categorized as a mini MPV 5-passenger with sliding doors to the rear passengers. This vehicle will competes with Opel or Vauxhall Meriva which comes first in the market. To produce B-Max, Ford was preparing to buy the Craiova facility from the Government of Romania since March 2008. Previously, in 2007, this plant produces Daewoo and has a production capacity for 300,000 units, plus 300,000 engines with an initial investment value of 675 million euros. B-Max production target 150,000 units per year and will be added again in subsequent years, of which 80 percent will be exported.
