I’m a big fan of Wes Anderson. I absolutely loved Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic, The Darjeeling Limited, and Fantastic Mr. Fox. I still haven’t seen Moonrise Kingdom and thought The Grand Budapest Hotel was slightly overrated, but I still love his style of themed colors, centered images, and unique storytelling. Wes Anderson parodies are nothing new. In fact, these days there’s one for pretty much every thing. For example “Wes Anderon’s Spiderman” was one of the first and still one of the best.  However, that didn’t stop me from making my own. For over a year now I’ve been meaning to do a series of car “reviews” in the styles of famous movie directors, but I never got around to starting until now. I figured a Wes Anderson would be a good one to start it with, and what better car than the 2015 Scion xB? If you’re not familiar with Wes Anderson, this won’t make much sense. Especially the last scene. But here it is, enjoy: There are a billion things I wish were improved, like the glaring mistakes of things not actually being centered, and food coloring very clearly visible in the last scene. And the fact that I’m dealing with the brilliant editing software Windows Movie Maker. But oh well. The music was from Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Royal Tenenbaums, with the most well-known song being Needle in the Hay by Elliott Smith. My wife was kind enough to be in this, as was my son (he’s the hand giving the keys). I don’t have that much else to say about it, other than it was pretty easy and fun to put together. Next up is Quentin Tarantino’s Chevy Cobalt. You can subscribe to my YouTube Channel right here. Don’t forget to share!
