Corning Gorilla Glass will be the Car Windshields

Surely you have heard of the greatness of glass Corning Gorilla Glass technology is already familiar to Smartphone or tablet. Now the glass Corning Gorilla Glass technology will be embedded in the windshield. Corning Gorilla Glass will enter the automotive world in 2014.
Corning Glass Gorilla Glass itself has been used by more than 1.5 million electronic equipment. Glass is known for scratch resistance, strong and lightweight.
According to Jeffrey Evenson, Senior Vice President of Corning, existing premium car manufacturer has scheduled to introduce new products at this year’s glass. But the Corning did not mention the car manufacturers.
The advantages of using Gorilla Glass for the windscreen, in addition to reducing scratches and cracks on car glass, car glass weights will also be lighter.
But in terms of weaknesses, the glass from Corning’s Gorilla Glass has certainly not cheap. Surely there would be an additional cost is quite high if Gorilla Glass is pinned in the car.
