Chevrolet Sonic

This new car you see here is the replacement for the crappy Chevrolet Aveo!

It is called the Sonic, and it’s actually a good job they even changed the name becasue this car is at least 200 percent better than the Aveo. The new model features a whole new design inside and out and will come as both sedan and hatchback.

The Sonic is the only small car built in USA and will be assembled at the General Motors Orion plant in Michigan, which received a $545-million investment in upgrades and retooling.

It is still an economic car, but it kinda proves that you can make cheap but cheerful cars. The interior for example is inspired by motorcycles and features “cobra head” design for automatic gear knob, manual shifter has a chrome-finished knob, and tubular outboard climate outlets as well as a large, round analog tachometer set within an asymmetrical LCD readout, with a large digital speedometer display.

As for the engines, you can either have the Ecotec 1.4L turbo with 138 horsepower (103 kW) and 148 lb.-ft. of torque or the Ecotec 1.8 liter with 135 horsepower (101 kW), along with 123 lb.-ft. of torque.
