Equinox is a SUV offered in four option packages- LS, 1LT, 2LT, and LTZ. Equinox models have a horsepower of 182 with a 2.4 V4 engine. The other three models excluding the LS are offered a horsepower of 264 with a 3 litre V6 engine. An automatic transmission of six- speed is available for both engines. You can opt for a front wheel drive or all wheel drive mode.
Fuel consumption of the Equinox is satisfying and economical. The 4WD V4 engine runs for an average mpg of 22 in city drive and 32 in highway drive. A combination of the highway and city drive totals a mpg of 26. The all wheel drive V4 engine runs for a mpg of 20 in city drive and 29 in highway drive. Combined result leads to a mpg of 23.
