Escalade is offered in four option packages- Base, Luxury, Premium, and Platinum. The base model has standard features fully equipped with sophistication. Standard power for the Escalade has a horsepower of 403 with a 6.2 liter V8 engine. It has an automatic transmission with a speed of six that can be shifted to manual control. Rear drive and all wheel drive are offered in all models. Escalade’s new models are innovated with the latest technology, cylinder- deactivation. Fuel consumption is reduced by working on the engine to decrease its cylinders to half. The two wheel drive runs a mpg of 14 when driven in the city and a mpg of 20 in highway drive. A two wheel drive Escalade has a capacity to haul a weight of 8,300 lbs.
Safety measure of the Escalade include the antilock brake system, stability control, OnStar system, traction control, and fully built airbags in the front, side, and curtain area. According to the crash test note, Escalade had achieved a rating of five- star for frontal and side impacts.
