Cadillac CTS Recall

Although you might think that the 2005-2007 Cadillac CTS models should have been scraped by now, but GM is actually worried about their safety!

They issued a recall after NHTSA confirmed a defect in the front seat’s airbag sensor which can flex around a lot and go bust.

As a result it cannot detect a passenger in the seat and turns off the airbag automatically. Non-deployment of the front passenger air bag in the event of a crash necessitating that air bag’s deployment may reduce protection of the passenger and increase the risk or severity of injury to them.

The owners are asked to visit the nearest service center where dealers will replace the passenger sensing system free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule.
