Buick Verano 2012
Buick Verano is GM’s latest mid-size sedan to be revealed at 2011 Detroit Motor Show before it goes on sale next year as a 2012 model.
Verano carries the modern Buick design cues introduced on the Enclave and interpreted for the LaCrosse and Regal. IT also get 17-inch standard multi-spoke forged alloy sterling silver-finish wheels. Two premium 18-inch wheel designs are available, which hints at its sportiness.
Still, it is in the same class as the Chevy Cruze, Toyota Corolla and generally under $20K sedans.
The best part of this car however is the interior with leatherette/fabric seating surfaces, while ebony, cashmere and a unique Choccachino color are offered on the available leather-trimmed interiors. It is a very nice design for a car in this segment.
At launch the Verano will be available with an Ecotec 2.4L mated to six-speed automatic powertrain developing 177 horsepower (132 kW) and 170 lb.-ft. torque (230 Nm), 0-60 mph performance of 8.0 seconds and an estimated 31 mpg on the highway. Later a 2.0 liter turbo will be added.
2012 Buick Verano goes on sale in the fourth quarter of 2011 powered.
