2017 Infiniti Q60 | Red-hot Red Sport premium coupe is ready
Infiniti has brought back its beloved coupe with the stunning new-for-2017 Q60. The Japanese luxury arm of Nissan has not shied away from bold design language in this iteration and we couldn’t be happier about it. The Q60 gets packed with all the style and elegance befitting an Infiniti. Its aggressive outer shell sheaths a powerful new engine, making what was already an appealing coupe even harder to resist.
Built for the driving enthusiast
A low, wide stance, double-arch grille and standard 19-inch wheels quickly identify the Q60 as a two-door sports car. Infiniti’s distinctive crescent-shaped C-pillars also make their way to this latest offering. The Q60 certainly looks the part of a driver’s car, and once seated inside, it lives up to that promise.

Three different engines are available on the 2017 Infiniti Q60 coupe, starting with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that packs 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque; customers can select this engine for either the base or premium trim. Each engine offering gets paired to Infiniti’s 7-speed automatic transmission (there’s no manual trans option).
Moving up in engine size means you’re moving the Q60 up to the Premium trim level and a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Opt for the Q60 Red Sport and you get an even more powerful version of that 3.0L V6 with an exhilarating 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. This is the version of the Q60 we had the fortune to pilot through the canyons beyond sunny San Diego.
Mash on the accelerator and pure exhilaration will press you deep into your seat. The 7-speed automatic transmission makes reaching that 60 mph mark seamless; allow the computer to shift for you or opt to rev higher and tap through the gears using paddle shifters.

A choice of rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive allows you to enjoy the Q60 Red Sport no matter the climate. Infiniti’s rear-biased intelligent all-wheel-drive system provides more control when taking off hard from a dead stop or slinging the Q60 through tight corners.

Standard is the default mode for everyday driving, eco focuses on optimizing fuel economy, and sport goes the opposite direction by optimizing performance. Sport+ mode definitely provides the most engaging drive style while Personal mode lets you adjust vehicle settings to suit your individual tastes.
Known for its lush interiors, Infiniti provides a uniquely high-end experience inside the cabin. Quality materials and soft-touch surfaces abound, making you feel pampered. There’s room for four passengers, but ideally, the Q60 is for two people — or, simply, just you.

Those averse to a two-door car can rest assured the brand has eliminated the harsh ride quality commonly associated with coupes. The 2017 Q60 remains unfazed in even through the most challenging mountain passes thanks to Infiniti’s Direct Adaptive Steering — a steer-by-wire system that provides quick response to steering inputs so that the journey is nearly effortless for the driver.
The 2017 Infiniti Q60 comes in eight flavors with the base model starting at $38,950 and the all-wheel drive Red Sport ringing in at $53,300. In between are a variety of trims and engine choices designed to meet the needs of every sports coupe buyer. Infiniti combines power and luxury in one stunning package.
