2013 Chevrolet Cruze is now using smart feature airbags. Features Smart airbag is a new technology of General Motors (GM). This airbag system uses flexible ventilation. Airbags inflate not only efficiently because it has a one-stage system, but also can reduce the risk of injury caused by air bag deployment savior. Flexible manhole cover used on the momentum boost the airbag allows the driver to effectively squeeze out the air from the airbag. The system uses an inflator for collisions at low speeds and other inflator for collisions at high speeds. GM Tests conducted showed that single-phase flexible pouches have the same effectiveness to protect drivers with two-stage airbag system. New Smart airbags will become standard safety fittings in 2013 Chevrolet Cruze with StabiliTrak electronic stability system, Panic Brake Assist and Enhanced Smart Pedal / Brake Override that will win a five star rating in crash test program and test NHTSA’s New Car Assessment Program. With the new airbag technology is expected to address the impact of the collision.
