The new Mazda5 minivan has a big mission as besides Europe and Asia, the company also sends it to America to rival the king of family vans, Chrysler Voyager.
The car will be powered by a 157 hp at 6,000 rpm, and 163 ft-lb of torque at 4,000 rpm 2.5-liter MZR I-4 engine and can be paired with either a six-speed manual (Sport models only) or five-speed automatic transmission (standard on Touring and Grand Touring).
It’s also available in three trim levels well-appointed Sport($19,990), the mid-level Touring($21,990) and the top-of-the-line Grand Touring($24,670).
Standard features on all models include Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), traction control, anti-lock brakes (ABS), tire-pressure monitoring, and dual front, front-seat and side curtain airbags that offer protection to all three rows. It also features 50/50 split fold-down third row seats and steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls on the base model.
