2011 Vauxhall VXR8 Details
Vauxhall unveiled today the new 2011 VXR8 featuring improved powertrain and a revised styling that is not so very desirable.
The old model was too loud a flash either, but it was also cool at the same time. This one is way too overdone. It gets such a busy design at front, rear and even sides. Even the wheels are too vulgar.
The new VXR8 gets the fourth generation 6.2-litre LS3 unit produces 431PS and a massive 550Nm of torque, enough to propel the VXR8 from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds and on to a governed top speed of 155mph.
It also comes with race-bred chassis that uses MacPherson struts/progressive rate coil springs at the front and a multi-link independent set-up at the rear. Also for the first time it’s available with Launch Control, which is engaged when drivers select the ESC’s (Electronic Stability Control) Competition Mode.
The 2011 VXR8 which also features an upgraded interior is priced at £49,500 (inc. 20 per cent VAT). If you don’t have problem with that looks, then you can’t have much more fun for less money!
