2011 Peugeot 508 Officially Unveiled
Peugeot released the first official pictures and details of the 2011 508 Sedan and SW ahead of their premiere in Paris Motor Show.
This car replaces the current 407 model so it’s must be quite good to live up to the expectations. And by the looks of things it’s got all the bases covered.
The design of the 508 is clearly inspired by the concept cars Peugeot introduced in Geneva Motor Show back in March, including the SR1 and 5 By Peugeot. It looks quite chic and trendy. It has a lot of French character!
The Peugeot 508 will be available in two body styles: a Saloon (with a length of 4.79 m) and a SW (4.81 m).
The interior has a more elegant design than the 407, but it’s still full of buttons and knobs, and at least in comparison to the exterior design, it’s somehow dark and boring! But Peugeot says the quality of materials and the finishing have been significantly improved.
As expected the 2011 Peugeot 508 will get a whole range of petrol and diesel engines, all optimized for better fuel efficiency. They say the range is about 15 percent cleaner and more economical than before. It will also get a Hybrid4 variant a couple of months after launch with 200-hp and All-Wheel-Drive system.
