2011 Mercedes S63 AMG Pricing and Specs

The latest edition of Mercedes S63 AMG super saloon which goes on sale in 2011 sports the brand-new 5.5 liter V8 biturbo engine, which we’ve also seen in the new CL63.

The car comes with a few styling tweaks inside and out too, like the sleeker bumpers, or the LED lights, or the newly designed AMG wheels, but the greatest highlight of s indeed that magnificent engine, which in combination with an MCT 7-speed gearbox truns this big luxury sedan into a real monster.

The new S63 and also the S65 AMG both will be available in normal and long wheel base editions. The pricing starts from 120,800 Euro /143,752 Euro (incl. 19 % VAT), and for the LWB from 127,200 Euro /151,368 Euro (incl. 19 % VAT). AMG Power pack runs for 7,900 Euros.

The 5.5 liter V8 which we will be hearing of much more often in coming days, generates 400 kW (544 hp) and maximum torque of 800 Nm for the S63. But if that doesn’t phase you enough you may get yourself the optional AMG Performance Package which increases the power up to 420 kW (571 hp) and 900 Nm, and the top speed as well to 186 mph.

With an NEDC fuel consumption of only 10.5 litres per 100 kilometres, the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG is 3.9 litres more economical than the previous model powered by the naturally aspirated AMG 6.3-litre V8 – despite an increase in output of 14 kW (19 hp) and 34 kW (46 hp) respectively, and in torque of 170 and 270 Nm.

A new range of attractive optional appointments is now also available for the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG: the Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG high-end sound system, developed especially for the S-Class, ensures an exceptional listening experience. With a total output of 1200 watts, 15 loudspeakers, acoustic lens tweeters in the A and B-pillars as well as a digital sound processor (DSP), it transforms the Saloon into a full-blown concert hall with perfect acoustics.
