2011 Infiniti EX Price
Thu, 08/18/2011 - 02:33
Infiniti’s coupe crossover EX is getting its feet grounded in Europe and specifically UK market. To help it with that the Japanese company has given the range a mid-year upgrade and adjusted the prices accordingly.
The new upgrades make the EX an even better-equipped car, setting new standards for its class. In brief, it gets advanced navigation and premium sound system standard on GT trim, glass sunroof and BOSE audio added to range-topping GT Premium, and standard 19 inch wheels for GT and GT Premium grades. The navigation system is the latest Connectiviti+ that comes with 3D graphics and a 30GB hard drive.
Prices start at £37,130 for entry EX30d diesel with 406 lb ft of torque which offers the best compromise between economy, price, performance and features. This one can become the most popular EX model in the UK.
Details of the 2011 Infinit EX range in the press release below:
The SUV standard-setter for standard equipment, the Infiniti EX, is more fully featured than ever from this summer. In a mid-year specification adjustment, every EX apart from the entry-level EX30d now comes with Infiniti’s sophisticated Connectiviti+ navigation and entertainment platform and a premium Bose® audio system, among other changes.
The revisions confirm the mid-grade GT model in particular as one of the most complete cars in its class – without recourse to the expensive options beloved by the EX’s rivals. In addition to Connectiviti+ and Bose® audio, GT models in either EX37 petrol or EX30d diesel form are now equipped with 19-inch wheels – as standard.
The new features join an already impressive list of equipment on every GT model – leather trim, heated, electrically adjustable front seats and electrically adjustable steering column included. These are all in addition to signature EX features – such as intelligent all-wheel-drive, 7-speed automatic transmission, Xenon cornering headlights and electrically foldable rear seat bench – standard on every EX including the entry-level EX30d.
There are upgrades too for the GT Premium, the EX range’s technology flagship. Already equipped with Connectiviti+ and some of the most advanced safety systems yet developed – including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) and Blind Spot Warning (BSW) – GT Premium models from 1 June will also feature as standard an electrically operated glass sunroof as well as premium Bose® audio and 19-inch wheels.
In other EX news, every model in the range is now available with the paint option of Malbec Black, latest metallic Scratch Shield finish which was first available on the M saloon.
The changes represent the icing on the EX cake and reflect customers’ desire for top spec models, a trend Infiniti has seen in all of its ranges since Japan’s newest performance luxury brand first arrived in Europe almost three years ago.
Prices of the latest EX models start from £37,130 for the EX30d V6 diesel with 406 lb ft of torque for performance every bit as powerful as its coupé inspired looks.
Connectiviti+ is a state-of-the-art platform of information and entertainment functions designed to work seamlessly together for maximum user friendliness. The navigation, powered by a 30GB hard disk drive, includes features such as voice recognition, 3D graphics of junctions and points of interest on the high-resolution touch-screen display, and, uniquely, direct access to Michelin’s Green and Red Guides for tourist and hotel/restaurant information.
Entertainment functionality centres on a 10GB Music Box that can store up to 300 CDs, all tracks clearly labelled thanks to the Gracenote® music database integrated into the HDD. Concert hall reproduction is delivered by a Bose® 11-speaker Premium Sound System. Other features that some rival makes charge extra for – such as a USB port, DVD movie playback, Bluetooth for hands-free mobile phone use and audio streaming – are all part of the high-tech package.
The latest Infiniti EX sports crossover is available from 1 June at Infiniti Centres in Reading, Birmingham, Glasgow and at the brand’s London showroom at 77 Piccadilly. Prices, adjusted to reflect the extra equipment, are as follows:
