2010 Mitsubishi Lancer
Mitsubishi reprises its 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer with a sports-hatchback. It is a 4-door compacted car without much modification as compared to its contemporary mini sedans. The Lancer Evolution model has a superb acceleration capacity with good fuel economy. It is essentially AWD, which has impressive handling and gives a smooth drive on road similar to the GTS version. The acceleration power of Lancer CVT is not commendable, where as the Ralliart and Evolution models have a noisy engine screech.
The Lancer DE coupled with ES model has a 2 liter capacity with 4-cylinder engine producing 152 horsepower. Both of them are front-wheel drive sedans. The base GTS front-wheel drive and GTS Sportback include a 2.4 liter capacity with 4-cylinder engine producing 168 horsepower. Three models GTS, ES and DE are packaged with either manual transmission or a CVT- continuously variable transmission that acts similar to the automatic.
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart comes back with its previous exterior design, which is also available in sporty hatchback trim. It is AWD having 2 liter capacity with 4-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 237 horsepower. It is offered in both automatic and manual transmissions that act similar to the automatic. The Lancer Evolution is back after a pause in the year 2009 with an AWD model. It comes with two spruces; MR and GSR which include 2 liter capacity with 4-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 291 horsepower. Similar to the Ralliart; the MR edition has an automatic transmission of 6-speed while the GSR has a manual transmission of 5-speed.
Evolution MR Touring is a new lineup of 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer that incorporates sunroof and leather seating. The safety features are antiskid system, traction control, ABS and airbags for front-side and curtain-side. A navigation system with touchscreen feature is offered in most of its lineup sedans along with a hard disc of 30GB for storing music-files.
All the safety features and other specifications incorporated in Lancer lineup are advanced varying from fuel consumption capacity to the accommodation room for both the passengers and cargo. Lancer adds up warranty details with its models and is also ranked for the collision tests by the NHTSA.
The vehicles are ranked in 18 groups by Consumer Guide Automotive based on their market grade, cost and size. The compacted sedans include the regular-priced cars, hatchbacks or cargos with wheelbase of 99.4 inches of more.
The top ranked cars in the market are Volkswagen Jetta, Nissan Versa, Mazda 3 and Honda Civic. The recommended sedan is Scion xB. The newest or the extensively reshaped models for this category are Mitsubishi Lancer-Sportback, Volkswagen Golf, Mazda-3, Kia Forte and Honda Insight.
