2010 Ford Fusion is available in amazing stylish exterior with powered performance. It is launching its gas/electric hybrid mode coupled with the other version called Fusion Sport. It is superb in acceleration with automatic transmission and very firm in handling when on road. Its smooth in drive without much hassles, yet it has a noisy 4-cylinder engine to bear with.

It is a medium sized car similar to Lincoln MKZ and Mercury Milan in design. 2010 Ford Fusion is back with its SEL, SE and S versions having front-wheel drive. The V6 powered models are equipped with AWD. Few of the powertrains are taken from the Ford Escape SUV. Now the old 2.5 liter capacity 4-cylinder engine generating 175hp is changed with the 2.3 liter capacity 4-cylinder engine generating 160hp. This specification is standard on SEL, SE and S models.


Furthermore, the 3 liter capacity V6 engine generating 240hp is upgraded to 221hp. This is optional spec on the SEL and SE models and has the competence to run on E85 ethanol fuel. The Fusion Sport editions include the 3.5 liter capacity V6 engine generating 263hp. Both the 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions are available in 4-cylinder SE and S models; where as the automatic transmission of 6-speed is only offered in 4-cylinder V6 Fusion and SEL models.

The Hybrids in 2010 Ford Fusion include 2.5 liter capacity 4-cylinder gas engine generating 191hp by an electric motor. No charging is needed via plug-in and can utilize both fuel sources to stabilize the fuel efficiency and speed of the car. They use CVT- continuously variable transmission that acts similar to the automatic. Its features are antiskid system, traction control, ABS, airbags for curtain-side and front-side, navigation system and synchronized voice-activated control for MP3 players and mobiles. Blind-spot vigilant system is a latest add-on. Cross Traffic Alert is installed to alert the opposite direction of the vehicles moving towards the car.

The top ranked cars in the market are Ford Fusion, Chevrolet Malibu, Honda Accord coupe, Mercury Milan, Honda Accord sedan, Toyota Prius and Mazda 6. Other recommended cars are Subaru Legacy, the Kia Rondo, Toyota Camry and Subaru Outback.

The newest or the extensively reshaped models include Ford Fusion, Toyota Prius, Mercury Milan, Subaru Outback, Subaru Legacy, Nissan Altima, Honda Accord Crosstour, Chrysler Sebring, Toyota Camry, and Suzuki Kizashi. This year the hybrid (gas/electric) models are available in Mercury Milan and Ford Fusion.
